As early voting begins in Florida, we want every registered voter to have access to the polls to cast their vote unhindered and without intimidation or fear of voter suppression.
Citizens of Collier County need to respect everyone’s right to choose their candidates and decide issues and amendments free from any kind of interference or concern about what could happen at their polling place.
Exercising this Constitutional right – and privilege – is of the utmost importance in our Democracy. Despite the fact that some of our beliefs and values may differ, we can unite on this critical point and urge those who follow our respective organizations to abide by this guidance. It’s time to advocate for our chosen candidates and beliefs without resorting to tactics that might infringe on anyone else’s right to safely cast their vote. No intimidation, no suppression, no outbursts, no fraud.
The Collier County Sheriff’s office joins us in this key message – that we’re all in this together; let’s encourage all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote and make sure that it’s a safe experience for everyone. It is our combined goal that the people of Collier County will not engage in any disruptive behavior that could impede anyone’s right to vote in peace.
